♡ Week Five Results

Hope you are all fine and dandy. I am pretty good, in case you were wondering! haha.

So, today was my 5 week weigh in.

UNFORTUNATELY my weight loss for the week is sorta ‘left over’ from last week! What do I mean by that? Well, I have weighed the exact same amount for 5 or 6 days straight! Exactly the same! Not 100 gram difference on any day! Quite frustrating!

But anyway, this week I managed 1.4 kilos. Taking my total lost to 10.4 kilos. Pretty good for 5 weeks… and even better for 4 weeks and 1 or 2 days! Haha.


I purchased some cute as pie OTK boots (Over the Knee) on the eBay and I got them yesterday… as they were getting sent I thought hmm I might check the measurements. The seller had given the measurement for the bit that supposedly goes over your knee, I had a sneaking suspicion the thigh bit wouldn't fit, well not at the moment anyway… Eek, no way, not a chance!! I need to lose like 10 something cms there for it fit over my knee (EEEEK) and even then I actually want it to be a little loose. I am still 100% happy with my purchase though! They are everything I want in a boot (OTK, Black, Quilting, Buckles, wedge or flat, round toe, JUICY!)! They retail for US$249 (and $349 at David Jones!) and I got them for $99!! Bargainous!

Juicy OTK Wedge Boots!

I have wanted over the knee boots since I went to Canada, however long ago that was- I just checked, it was February 2010! All the chic ladies were wearing them, and I wanted to be chic too! Haha.

I bought a pair but they finally disintegrated last year (I still have them of course… haha, such a hoarder!). They weren't super expensive… Maybe $50, so they definitely weren't quality material. These new ones are though! Waxy suede- whatever that means! My Mum says it means water should run right off them. Hope so! I never wanted anything that was too high, or a stiletto heel (screams ‘street walker’) but the wedges are really comfy (I squeezed my leg into them to test if the shoe part fit) and I could actually walk in them and they felt very comfortable and supported. I have wide and fat feet so that is a big accomplishment! I couldn't even get the thigh bit over my calves though! Oh Lordy! Anyhoo… These will be perfect come winter. And super cute with my ‘leather-look’ leggings! Dontcha think??

Oh and back to my weigh in… I also take my measurements weekly and I quickly punch the deets into my phone and don’t even think about them. Afterwards, I am supposed to transcribe them into my journal and compare them to the week before. I haven’t done it now for 2 weigh ins! Naughty! I might sit down and do it now. Maybe I've been losing inches, wouldn't that be nice?!

Australis "Milky Way"

Okay so picture this…

I’m sitting at my desk at work innocently reading my favourite blogs, telling myself how I don’t need to spend any more moolah on anything beauty related for a long long time.

I stumble across a post from sleep and water showing the new offering from Australis- Milky Way, a "chunky, multicoloured glitter polish", and  and think to myself oh what a lovely polish. oh how I would love to have it… no… nope, I don’t need any more polishes. *slaps hand*

Ahh… managed to get out of that one. I really don’t need any more polishes… Firstly I have about 6,573,035* regular polishes that I haven’t touched and I have a nice little collection of Gelish which I haven’t been using at all.

A few blogs later and I stumble across Beauty with the Beautifool… and dagnamit, she too was influenced by sleep and water but actually went out and got the polish. Hmmm.

One blogger temptation, I can handle... But 2? On the same day? In the same Blog reading sesh?

Nope, no way… I cannot resist. 

Next thing I know I'm strolling out of priceline $7.95 lighter. hehe. Luckily it's on the Bargainy side.

Much to my astonishment, I actually went ahead and painted my fingies that very evening! What the?!

I had read on both reviews that it was difficult to get the white opaque, and Tram from Beauty with the Beautifool actually did 6 coats... 6 coats!

Am I on a roll with my memes or what?!

I applied a light pink (Sally Hanson something or other) as my first 2 coats... followed by 2 coats of Australis Milky Way.

You can see a very faint hint of pink on mine... it's hardly noticeable though. And as if I'd complain about that?!

I like it.

One of my thumbs has already started peeling... Grrrrr.



Next post; I tipped the contents of my bag onto my desk at lunch to see just why it was damn heavy. Stay tuned for the reveal. It's riveting stuff!

Latest Acquisitions: Pet Edition

Hi Lovelies!

I hope you all have a nice weekend. Mine wasn’t too bad. Spent most of it just lazying away. Sweet.

Just thought I’d give y’all some recent purchase updates for my pooch.  

I love ALDI! I got this heated pet bed for Dino and his arthritic back legs. It was only $50 and it's very spacious! Best bit though? Unlike his Kennel, he is actually using it! PRICELESS!! 

Dodgy Picture, or what?!

Sensitive Dog Wash and a Chamois from a cute brand available at Coles New World. 

I gave Dino a bath on Saturday and we can report that the wash works. haha. Luckily there was a bit of sun on Saturday, so what the Chamois missed, Dino Sun baked dry.

Also, as a side note: I am kind of going through a mini-1/3 life-crisis (I am nearly thirty FFS) and have gone a bit mad on anti-aging prods. Like, I mean I have gone mad. 

Oh and in other fun news. I purchased a deal for some Mink Eyelash Extensions... I don't really need them, but that doesn't stop me wanting them *cheesy grin* The deal I got was $49 and includes one refill... Valued at $230. I just figure it will be a bit of fun and it's close to where I live.

Latest Acquisitions; of the past edition

Ha. Yes, that title makes no sense… How can something be called latest acquisitions, when it was in the past? Huh huh?! Well, I don’t know about you guys, but as a self-proclaimed blogging-procrastinator, I tend to ‘plan to blog’ about my latest purchases etc… but never do. *hangs head in shame* I have close to a gazillion images on my phone ready to be blogged about.

So, I bring to you, my newest segment, aptly titled “Latest Acquisitions” but this edition is that of past purchases. Okay, still with me?! Sweet.

This cute phone attachment for my mobile phone... I laugh just looking at it. Totally impractical! 

"Hello?"

You can listen to music through it, and it has a buttons to answer and end calls, as well as volume adjustment. So far I've only used it for the LOLs.

This cute receipt expanding file.

It says "Put your important things" with an arrow to indicate where to put said important things. It is now jam packed with receipts! Even receipts from Coles New World... I need to go through them. I only need the important ones, as per the helpful instructions, not the ones for my half-honeydew at the local supermarket!

My adorable Ceramic Travel mug! Russian themed!

I completely love the colours!! It came with a white lid, as standard, but the shop keepers adore me, so they let me swap it for a pink one! yay! I did some serious experiments to check the lid. Very Scientific! It involved water and a sink... and some swift "I'm pretending to walk around' with my arms movements, and some "I'm having a sip" over the sink trials.

I wasn't too keen on taking a sip and having my drink go all over me in the real world. FYI: It works PERFECTLY!

I also grabbed these Faber Castell pencils from Coles New World... They're pretty neat.

Now these are a massive hit with me;

Infallible Eyeshadow from L'Oréal Paris. I read some great reviews about them from some UK bloggers, and I needed to get my paws on them. This was my first haul... I have gained another 5 this past weekend! LOL. 

I will do a review and swatches one of these days. 
The colours here are: Hourglass Beige, Forever Pink, Flashback Silver, Endless Chocolate and Permanent Khaki.
