♡ Week Six ♡ ~ Perseverance pays off!

Hey Lovelies,

I somehow managed to confuse myself for my last weigh-in post. I wrongly titled it week three and four, yet had the correct content, which said week four and five! Way to confuse myself!

I might just do a re-cap, mainly for my own benefit:

Le Ultimate Goal= lose 14.2 kilos

Initial weigh-in 16th Jan: (start) 14.2kgs to go
Week One 23rd Jan: (3kg) 11.2kgs to go
Week Two 30th Jan: (1.1kgs) 10.1kgs to go
Week Three 6th Feb: (1.1kgs) 9kgs to go
Week Four 13th Feb:  (0.7kgs) 8.3 kgs to go
Week Five 20th Feb: + 0.5kgs (arghhhh!) 8.8 kgs to go

Ahh, hoorah for cohesiveness!

So, yes, in the past 2 weeks, I have felt like I was going at a snails’ pace… and that is N.O fun!

Luckily this week caught me back up a bit, or I was going to have to change my tactics!!

So without further ado, I bring you my sixth week weigh in results…

2.1 kgs

Leaving 6.7kilos to go. Eeek, still a way to go. Boo and then hiss!! I am feeling good though, thankfully.

I finally washed my hair yesterday and while it was quite easy being short and all, it was also like 32degrees and I saw little point in blow drying it, so I thought I'd tempt fate and let my hair dry on its' own (albeit with some product), well it wasn't all that crash hot, and I did in fact take my Vidal Sasson Big Hair styler to it, once the temp cooled down a little.

Fast forward to this morning and the lovely Melbourne Deluge that rained down upon us, I was literally like a drenched rat AND I totally ruined my favourite umbrella!!!! Damn you gale force winds *sad crying face + pouty face too*

Ruining my brolly means I have to go to back to one of my newest favouritiest shoppes in the Name of All That is Cute, Duchess! at either Melbourne Central  or Footscray, (mate). But what to do in regards to being rain proof, until then??! That. I do not know! Eeek. I could still use my brolly, I 'spose. It's not totally wrecked, just a little bent out of shape!

I had a little date night with the BF last night. We saw The Grey at the Glen. I didn't mind the movie, it had some scary moments- one of which I nearly left some 'Help! I'm Terrified' claw nail marks on my BF. Ooops! Was not a fan of the ending though.

Ciao for now!!

Howdy 'do

Meet my new 'do... (geddit? Howdy 'do??!)

As per my post on Wednesday, I did indeed get my hair cut and the colour changed.

As soon as I sat in the chair, my hair dresser Crystal asked 'full head of foils?' I quickly blurted out that I wanted to go Caramel and cut my hair into a long bob before I could change my mind. She was quite surprised. I think she'd forgotten that I was considering changing my hairstyle at my last appointment.

But, yeh... We looked over colour charts and I showed her some images I have saved on my iPhone.... And Voila a completely new 'do!

To be honest I wasn't completely happy when I first saw the colour... But Crystal assured me that the lighting in the salon is quite harsh. Phew! I even sent a message to the BF stating "I don't think I like it."

As I also mentioned, I swayed the BF to come pick me up, so I went across the road to a hotel to wait for him... And of course squeezed in a mini photo session in the bathroom! He rang just before I went to take this shot to say he was there, so I had to be quick, hence the weird 'hurry up' look on my face.

We went and saw Shame at Southland. It's an R rated movie about a sex addict. I don't know how I felt about the movie. I really don't.

Anyway, I have come to terms with my new 'do now... And maybe it isn't such a big deal after all. I mean not one person noticed at work! Not one (not until I told them, at least). What the?!

This was my old hair;
Being a slouch on the couch in my pink fluffy robe!
A decent amount was lobbed off... I can’t believe no one at work noticed! I guess I do wear my hair up a lot, but still (whinge, whinge)

Meanwhile, my BF is calling me his Caramel Cookie now, nawwwwwww, I like it.

Ohhh and contrary to what Crystal mentioned last time... My hair was so not cheaper!! Sweet Junipers! Hopefully it will be cheaper next time. She put some foils in my hair as well, not sure if that's a necessary regular thing.

I also bought a bunch of hair products. Pics to come! My hair has gone crazy curly...

♡ other random updates ♡ and help with hair needed!!

I did in fact get brow-wowed. They are thinner this time, I guess I didn’t vocalise what I wanted enough. I didn’t have to wait as long as the last time, which was nice. I made it to Myer Melbourne from Chapel Street in half an hour on Public Transport during peak hour! Impressed? I am. What I wasn’t impressed about was the Sales Assistant who touched up my brow area, after the wax and her over-the-top-eager to sell manner. I merely asked what it was the she was putting on me, it was a pressed powder but before she even answered she asked if she should put it on my bill? Um, no. Firstly it was the wrong colour and secondly, it was the wrong colour. She couldn’t even match my colour right! I was like heck no am I trusting you to help me. Way too eager to just get me to buy it… Maybe actually try and sell me something I would want. The brow artist (yes) was super nice and my brows do look nice, I think/hope.

Please excuse that rogue hair (from my head that is, there's plenty of brow rogues there!)

Sorry for the shoddy shot, but I took this at the Benefit Counter.

Meet Shirley and Help me with my hair, pleeease!!

♡ Lazy blogger; week four and five results ♡

Well hello there, Strangers!

To update a bit on my last post and what’s happened since…

Weight loss;
Well, if I thought my weigh in last week was disappointing, than this latest one was devastating!! Dramatic? Yes. Haha. Seriously though, I put on weight. What the truck?! Now, that’s rude. The thing is, I weighed myself the day before and had lost 1.3kilos for the week, then miraculously weighed an extra 1.7kgs the next morning?? Hey now! C’mon!! *ultimate sad face*

I do know that it is impossible for me to have really gained that much overnight… so, something’s up. I have been having some lady issues of late, but let’s not discuss that! Haha. So, I am assuming that is the issue. None the less, I was and still am disappointed- especially considering this situation hasn’t improved.

In summary, last week (my 4th week weigh in) I lost 600 grams and this week (5th week weigh in) I put on 400 grams. Making my 5 week weigh in total only 5.4kilos.

That’s B + S.

I started the plan on 16th January, so I have been on le diet for 36 days. Feels like so much longer!

If it doesn’t improve next weigh in, I may have to change tactics!

Fitness;
As I noted, I started the C25K program and started my 3rd week last night. Ay, caramba!! It was slightly hard last night… I went from running a maximum of 90secs a pop, to 3 mins. Oh Lordy, was I counting down the seconds!

I actually had a massive headache on Monday- the type that could turn migrainic (not exactly a real word) at a moment’s notice, so I am quite proud that once I felt somewhat better I hauled my butt to le gym. Proud!

Let it be known, my recent spurt of exercise may be causing my weight to halt and that headache I had, which no doubt coincides with my lady issues (which shall not be discussed *wink*) may also have contributed. (so, like I mentioned above if I don’t see an improvement next week, my tactical change may be to increase my food.)

I must say though I feel skinnier and best best best of all, healthier and fitter! I also feel like I am losing pudge differently around my mid-section! As an apple shape, this is paramount to my body shape. I have a secret weapon too… Purchased from the lovely Amazon (linky), I introduce to you my pretty purple, Danksin waist trimmer.

Behold

 What Amazon say:
Fit n' Trim... Our smart waist trimmer belt with comfortable fastener tape closure for an easy, adjustable fit is designed to preserve body heat, promote water loss and provide extra back support during exercise. Quality neoprene construction makes it comfortable, lightweight, durable, and virtually care-free. A great addition to your fitness gear!
Sounds gimmicky, no? Well, I swear I have noticed a difference and I sweat like a mothertrucker around my waist when I wear it and I forgot to bring it to le gym one time and there was a notable difference. I like to sweat. I like to make my fat cry!!

Unfortunately I may lose my gym privileges!! Not 100% sure on that, but I really hope not. Still not brave enough to venture outside.

week three: Love / Hate

Loving my weigh in this morning… Nice pep up cure to Mondayitis.

Loving that I lost 1.1 kilos this week, taking my 3 week weight loss total to 5.2kgs!

Loving that eating well means feeling great.

Loving my cute new pastel coloured polka dotted dinnerware. Making meal times seem fun! Pics to come.

Loving that the simple task of cutting up an apple, makes it seem oh so much bigger.

Loving stationary. I am addicted. Always will be…

Hating that I found a stationary supplier that stocks all my favourite Korean goodies… at reasonable prices. I predict a splurge.

Hating that I have to wait for a Pinterest invitation!

Loving going to the cinema with the BF.

Loving the use of $7.50 movie vouchers acquired a few weeks ago. Yay for 90’s movies prices!!

Hating that my water bottle had been leaking throughout the entire movie in my bag.

Loving that it was only water.

Hating that water can and will stain my “water and stain repellent” leather bag. Waaah.
upside down bag shot

Loving that I found my leather conditioner, which cleans and nourishes. I knew I had seen it in my mess of a room. somewhere

Loving that it actually worked. 2 treatments done, 1 more and my bag will be back to its' former glory!

Hating the thought of spending $3.50each for 3 mangoes on the weekend to find that they are bruised and smooshy.

Loving that I found 2 for $1.99 at my local-to-work grocer.

Hating the thought of lugging 4 mangoes home… On public transport. Dread.

Hating that the sparkle of PT is wearing off already. My buses have been late like crazy! Last Thursday and Friday I didn’t get home until after 6… Over an hour travel time! Driving home only takes 15minutes! Unfair.

Loving that I found the Pinterest app for my iPhone to keep my amused while I wait for the bus.

Hating that it’s slightly buggy when you aren’t member.

Loving that I got my Pinterest invitation on Sunday. Yay. The app now loves me! (I have not pinned anything yet)

Loving that my baby boy, Smokey, loves his 10th Birthday present and how as I was assembling it he was already swiping at the ball… Then the moment I put it on the floor *scratch, scratch, Scratch* ”Finally! I’ve been waiting for this!” *scratch, scratch, scratch* Last night I caught him asleep on it! Nawww.

I could have gone on forever with this format!

Toodles Noodles!

3rd February, 2012

Hey Peeps,

As you may recall, I had a Dentist appointment on Monday night after workies...

I was scared. I am not a fan. Sorry to all the Dentists out there, but I'm just not. I had a bad experience when I was in primary school... Think blood splurting out, which may or may not have been exaggerated by my 12 year old self, but none the less, my memory of it is nightmare material! So much so that I stopped going for 12 years!!!

Anyway, I was booked in for a filling on Monday... It wasn't that I had any tooth pain at all, but when I went for a check-up and clean 3 months ago, I was told I needed one. I kept post-poning it, but Monday was the night.

Long story short... Since Monday I have had pain! What gives?! No pain before though.

Firstly I needed 2 jabs- because I didn't go numb right away and then even though it was supposed to be fast wearing anaesthetic, I was numb from the front of my mouth to my ear until 11:30pm (that's 4 hours since the injections). I waited as long as possible to eat my dinner... But I was starving by then! And I think I bit my lip and may have bitten my cheeky innards! *sad face*

I'm finally not wincing every time I chew or move my mouth in any way as of today...

I have not been a happy Camper. Also, cos a workmate said I probably have a damaged/dying nerve and need a root canal?! WTF! Even the dentist said it was a small job. I was in and out of my appointment in 30mins, and that includes;
one jab... wait, wait, wait... Another jab... wait, wait, wait... *squeeze my eyes closed*... drill, drill... and done.

Anyway, I feel fine now, but if I had to go back... I'd cry.

In happier news, I am getting the keys to a GYM tomorrow (Godmothers' appartment gym) and also I have a pilates class at 1pm. Eeeek. cancelled it. me=lazy
